The car is a 1973 Citroen DS 20, LHD, painted Brun Scarabee. I searched Scarabee on the internet and found 'insect with four wings'. It certainly has those. It was imported/UK registered in 1985 and from the 'Gasolin' window sticker, seems to have spent some time in Germany, possibly a cold part in that it was fitted with a Webasto Thermatop. The odometer has been replaced with a milometer and read 45,000 miles. It had an MOT, ran sweet apart from a whining 4th gear and the hydraulics all worked. Outwardly, it looked in reasonable condition so what could possibly go wrong ?
'Gasolin ', a German oil company that ceased trading 2 years before the car was built which is a puzzle.
